This past summer we had the wonderful pleasure of finding Mary Pat when our family was on vacation. With 20 people, 10 of which were children, you can imagine how difficult it seemed like it would be to get everyone looking good at the same time. Mary Pat accomplished that and so much more! With more than 100 portraits to choose from, the selection task was incredibly hard. Each portrait seemed better than the next. Her patience and understanding made everyone relaxed and made it a truly enjoyable experience. If I were to do it again, which I hope we can, I would never consider anyone else but Mary Pat to be our photographer. Her talent and eye for knowing just the right moments to capture is a gift. I had an exceptional experience working with Mary Pat. My husband and I were to renew our vows at sunset late April, the weather was most unpredictable and needless to say there was no sunset but there was rain and lots of it. Mary Pat offered her studio as our backdrop for the officiant and pictures that day and she also made herself available the next morning when the weather cleared. Since we are not local to the area, she made what could have been an uneventful day to a happy ending which we will talk about for the next 25 years. She really is all about the personal touch. Mary Pat did an absolutely wonderful job photographing our family on the beach. I highly recommend her!! We all arrived in Cape May”the” day later than we planned, harried and exhausted from our various travel experiences, including the partial closing of the NJ Turnpike for 2 hours! We didn’t know whether we would “lose the sun” and have to re-schedule .. rain was a real possibility. Mary Pat was on the phone with us, guiding us every step of the way, so accommodating and so gracious .. at the last minute the sun broke through, and she said “let’s go for it! Twenty minutes later, she was working her magic on the beach, snapping away seamlessly. She created an album of truly wonderful candids and lovely natural poses. She has a knack for beautiful lighting and composition. My experience with M.P. Myers covers a 20+ years span. In the late 1980s, my family took our SIX standard poodles for a Christmas sitting and portrait. I do not think we could have found any photographer more welcoming, patient and awesome in her capabilities. The resulting pictures are still treasured to this day! They are not only superb photographs but truely reflect the personality of our four footed loved ones and form a magnificent visual memory of those no longer with us.
I have returned to her many times over the intervening years.The experience has always been pleasureable and extremely productive. MOST AMAZING FAMILY PHOTOS YOU WILL EVER HAVE TAKEN! 7 years ago, we were staying in Cape May and asked the concierge at Congress Hall hotel for a photographer for our family. (We found it impossible to get our 4 and 5 year old girls to sit still for photos for our Christmas cards.) Enter Mary Pat Myers.

We had our family portraits taken on the beach this summer with Mary Pat Myers. We interviewed several local photographers, and we found Mary Pat to be, hands down, the most professional and accomplished of all. Not only is her personality at ease and lovely, she has an eye for detail and perfection that only comes with years of experience. She worked with our family of three teenagers and two dogs, and everyone truly enjoyed the photo session because Mary Pat made it so fun. The next day, we visited her studio and we were entertained by a slide show of tons of fabulous shots. Weeks later, our finished photos arrived well wrapped, framed and all, ready to adorn our home. Mary Pat has been taking our family pictures for 18 years. I would say that is a testimony of itself but I cannot give her enough accolades for her professionalism, her patience(she started with my 5 year old triplets), and her photographic eye! Whether on the beach or in her studio, her pictures are fabulous. My home is the MP Myers gallery. She’s also been fabulous with my three rambunctious dogs and has gotten amazing photos of them, which is no easy feat. This coming summer will be no exception. Mary Pat is an amazing photographer. Her pictures capture the subjects naturally, and capture the moment in time beautifully. And yet, some of her subjects are children that do not pose, do not stand still for a moment or cooperate with a total stranger taking pictures. Look at Mary Pat’s resulting pictures, and you would not know that scenario at all. You would think that her subjects were professional models. She captures their personality in all her photos. AMAZING! Children (and adults) sense that she is not going to make them do what they may not want to do or be told to do. They just act naturally. And, she snaps that photo that you look at and it is the picture and personality of the child/adult. She gets it! What an accomplishment. Mary Pat Myers is gifted and so great to work with. The photo session is enjoyable and the results that you see the next day are just priceless. They freeze that special moment that you can cherish for years to come.
